GENERAL TRAINING FOCUS

TEST SET RESULTS
    RRM offers interval-based training.  We do little non-stop lap swimming.  There is a lot of evidence that swimming short distances with repetition at set intervals is more effective training for building endurance and strength.  Through this approach, it is easier to measure improvements, maintain efficient technique, and keep mentally sharp.

    RRM spends a lot of time doing drills and working on  technique.  This is reinforced during longer sets designed to build endurance and shorter sprint sets designed to build speed. 

        VIDEO RECORDING & SWIM CLINICS

    RRM offers underwater and above water video recording regularly.  There is no better way to see what you are doing than by having your stroke analyzed where it counts - underwater!  We record members and give immediate one-on-one stroke feedback to target the next area of technical improvement.  

    RRM offers periodic swim clinics that incorporate and focus on perfect technique by experienced coaches and practitioners, practice of drills, use of underwater swimming video, lectures, and other tools to help you with your swimming technique.

    Whether you are swimming for fitness, want to be a triathlon champion, or aspire to win at USMS Nationals, we can do a better job planning if we know what you want to achieve.  We provide some assistance with goal setting and will help to tailor your workouts to fit your goals.
